Faculty of Food Science and Engineering is one of the major faculties of the University Dunarea de Jos Galati. It provides BSc courses on Food Technology, Food Control, Industrial Biotechnology and Aquaculture and Fishing for 250 students per year and MSc courses on Food Control, Food Technologies and Biotechnology in Aquaculture for 50 students per year. The faculty has 7 pilot stations, a Research Center and an accredited Laboratory for physical-chemical and microbiological food analysis. The research is mainly part of the national programs and part of some collaborations across Europe. (Anca Nicolau)
