ICTP is a university providing education in almost all branches of chemistry, food technology, biotechnology and related disciplines at its four faculties. ICTP is a large scientific and research centre in chemical technology, biochemistry, food industry, environmental protection, and a number of other related fields. It has about 850 employees and 2 800 students. The project leading team consists from experts of Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology (DBM) and Laboratory of Food Microbiology and GMO (LFMG). LFMG is belongs to DBM. The laboratory is accredited for food microbiology and GMO analyses. Besides food microbiology and GMO, the research of DBM is focused on environmental microbiology and biotechnology (biodegradation of organic and inorganic pollutants). The department is fully equipped to fulfil the relevant project tasks in collaboration with other partners and moreover has access to a wide range of facilities belonging to other departments and laboratories within ICTP.
