The respective research group is part of Centre Laboratory for Integrated Research and Testing. The laboratory is facilitated with all kind of necessary equipment. In addition, Gadjah Mada University has some faculties (i.e. Fac of Animal Sciences, Fac of Veterinary Medicine, Fac of Medicine and Fac of Agriculture) and other research groups (such as Cancer group and Food safety) that may support the project. Indonesia is located in tropical region with warm temperatures and high humidity. This is favored condition for growth of mycotoxin producing fungi. Therefore, our current research is focused on survey of mycotoxin contamination in feed and food stuffs, effect of mycotoxin on animal performance, and method development to reduce the mycotoxin contamination, as well as the toxicity.
